ATLANTIC CITY TRAVEL GUIDE

Atlantic City Travel Guide - When you have been bitten by the gambling bug, you may want to check out the entertaining destination of Atlantic City, which can be found in southern New Jersey. This area is considered a resort community, offering smaller towns such as Ventnor and Longport. Here is where you can take a walk on the real Boardwalk which provides an awesome view of the Atlantic Ocean. This destination also offers a nice place to go when you are interested in checking out a few beaches in the area.

When you think of Atlantic City, it isn’t the beaches that attracts most of its visitors, it starts with the numerous casinos that dot this popular vacation spot. If you’d ever played a game of Monopoly, you may recognize some of the streets that feature a variety of casinos to explore.

On Park Place & The Boardwalk, you will find Bally’s Atlantic City; the Resorts can be found on North Carolina Avenue & The Boardwalk; Indiana Avenue & The Boardwalk is home to the Sands Casino. Other casinos to check into include Harrah’s, Trump Place, as well as the Tropicana.

Another feature that is well-known to the Monopoly game is the famous Boardwalk, which is the most expensive property you can own in the game. The real Boardwalk was first built in 1870 for a solution to a problem with the sand creeping up into the hotel lobbies. It became so popular that the boardwalk was expanded with minor modifications throughout the years. If you were to measure the entire length of the Boardwalk now, you will find that it is miles long and 60 feet wide. The prime building materials consist of concrete and steel.

When visiting Atlantic City, there are plenty of other things to do besides gambling and walking the Boardwalk. The New Jersey shoreline offers plenty of opportunities to meet new people while taking in the sights. This is also a popular vacation spot during the summer when folks like to rent out property close to the beach during their stay. A few attractions to consider while touring the area includes the Island Beach State Park, Wheaton Village, the Steel Pier, as well as the well-known Lucy the Elephant landmark.
