DAYTONA BEACH TRAVEL GUIDE

Daytona Beach Travel Guide - Spring Break has arrived and where do you go when you want to experience one of the top spots for vacationers during this time? If you said Daytona Beach, then grab your best pair of sunglasses and head for one of the best party spots that offers plenty of opportunities to experience long stretches of sub-tropical beach land. In fact, there are 23 miles of beach land filled with white sands and tons of activities and attractions. To get an idea where Daytona can be found on the map, it is about 50 miles from Orlando and almost 80 miles south of Jacksonville.

Even though Daytona Beach has a great reputation for college partying, there are also numerous family-fun activities that can be enjoyed in the area. Daytona is home to several family attractions, exciting entertainment outlets, interesting museums, as well as plenty of chances to check out great shopping and dining. The well-known International Speedway is also located in Daytona, where racing fans can feel right at home.

While visiting the area, you may want to check out the well-known Main Street Pier where the Ocean Walk Village can be explored. Here, you will encounter a host of shops, entertainment outlets, as well as comfortable resort surroundings. When you are ready to bring a piece of Daytona back home with you, there are several T-shirt and souvenir options to choose from during a relaxing walk down the beach.

Racing is a large part of the area, offering an array of racing and biking activities to explore. In March, the city opens up to motorcycle fanatics, who gather for Bike Week. In October, Biketoberfest puts you in gear for numerous competitions. If you prefer the rev of a car to the roar of a chopper, you probably already know that the Daytona 500, the Pepsi 400, as well as other car races, can be enjoyed at this destination.

For those who just want to relax on a beach during the day and check out the nightlife when the sun sets, there are plenty of options to consider while staying in the Daytona area. When you wish to spend a day browsing about some of the cultural outlets, a trip to one of the many museums may satisfy your needs. The Museum of Arts and Science, the Halifax Historical Museum, as well as the Klassix Auto Museum can be located at this tantalizing oasis.
