GOA TRAVEL GUIDE

Goa Travel Guide - Many are not familiar with the small state of Goa, which is located in India, but it can be found on the west coast of the country, offering a little known paradise for those in need of a well-deserved getaway. The opportunities to sunbath and enjoy the natural surroundings are endless, featuring soft sand, beautiful coconut palms, as well as an intriguing local population and culture.

Some of the scenery you may encounter could include nice villas, grand mansions, interesting Hindu shrines, as well as an inviting landscape to explore. Many tourists visit this destination in search of a piece of the culture from one of the many markets that can be found in the area. It is also said that the parties in Goa are some of the wildest and energetic. There is also an abundance of luxury resorts to indulge in during your stay when no expense is too great. Goa has a way of tempting you to stay longer than you expected, but a three-day trip may be sufficient enough to truly appreciate the land.

As a tourist, you should know that Goa is a state of many different languages. Inhabitants hailing from a wide-range of regions, religions and ethnicities settle at Goa, bringing with them their unique cultures. The two most popular languages of this area are Konkani and Marathi. When traveling to other parts of India, you will find that the national language is Hindi, which is spoken in Goa as well.

One of the things that you may want to visit while touring Goa, is making a stop at one of the many temples that can be found in the area. The Sri Nagesh Maharudra Temple faces the west where a statue of a Nandi bull greets you at the entrance. The bull is worthy of a photo, created from beautiful black granite. Not too far, a tourist will find smaller temples in Poorvachari, which offers a glimpse at temples: Betal and Raval Nathare.

Upon reaching Sovei Veram, you may want to check out the Shri Ananta Temple, which is dedicated to
Lord Vishnu and is the only Ananta Temple that can be located within Goa. Water surrounds this attraction on sides, also providing lovely scenery during your visit. The Shri Chandreshwar Temple is situated on top of the Chandranath Hill, dating back to the pre-Christian era. When visiting the Devaki-Krishna Temple, you should know that beautiful black stone sculptures can be viewed.
