lanzarote TRAVEL GUIDE

Lanzarote Travel Guide - The lovely destination of Lanzarote can be found off of the coast of West Africa, which is considered to be part of the Canary Islands. This island paradise offers a variety of interesting sights and fascinating landscapes. The area is mostly comprised of dry, rocky land that was mostly created from volcanic lava. You will find that the island is divided into seven different districts, including the capital, Arrecife; Haria, Teguise, as well as Tinajo.

This Spanish island can be located in the Atlantic Ocean, providing tons of satisfying beach land to relax at. Besides the numerous attractions that can be enjoyed throughout the day, you will also encounter many nightlife outlets offering plenty of bars, restaurants and clubs to check out.

When you are interested in checking out the attractions in the area, you may want to add the Parque Nacional de Timanfaya, which is one of the most popular sights that tourists like to visit. Attractions in the area are abundant. An intriguing underground cave system can be enjoyed when visiting the Cave of Los Verdes. A subterranean lagoon, museum and restaurant can be located at the Janeos del Agua. A seawater-filled volcanic crater awaits when you add El Golfo to your itinerary. The Castillo de San Gabriel offers a glimpse into a 16th century fortress that provides views of the Arrecife Harbor. Other points of interest in Lanzarote include: the largest underwater volcanic tunnel (“Tunnel of Atlantis”) and Peñas del Chache (mountain).

As a tourist, you should know that since this island receives a large number of Europeans and British travelers, most of the locals speak and understand English. English is also a common language that will be encountered throughout a variety of attractions. But the official language of the area is Spanish, which is quite similar to the dialects in South America. When you are in need of a place to stay, there are plenty of accommodation options that you will be able to choose from. There are many hotels that will fit the budget you are working with during your vacation. Purchasing your hotel room will require euros, which is the unit of currency for Lanzarote.
