Napoli is also the capital of the Campania region, as well as the Province of Naples. When visiting this destination, you will find yourself located halfway between the well-known Vesuvius volcano and the Campi Flegrei volcano. If you love the occasional Domino’s, Little Ceasar or Pizza Hut meal, you should know that Napoli is where pizza originated.

When planning your itinerary, you may want to familiarize yourself with some of the attractions that can be enjoyed during a stay in Napoli. This destination offers an array of historical, cultural and artistic adventures to participate in. The narrow streets taking you through the many neighborhoods offer a variety of small shops, attractions and activities to explore. A few day trips that a tourist may be interested in include a trip to Pompeii or the Bay of Naples. Some of the most beautiful bays in Italy can be experienced in this area. The harbor here is one of the most important ports within the southern region of Italy.

Some of the attractions that are quite popular with both locals and tourists include The National Archaeological Museum of Naples, which offers access to one of the best collections of Greek and Roman antiquities within the world, filled with various sculptures, gems and silver.
